As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrol rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and/or medical-related support requests as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and interior areas for unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or prohibited items, and report concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
