As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and deliver service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so you will also conduct patrols using a vehicle as needed while supporting a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor access points and public areas, help maintain orderly entry and exit, and assist with visitor directions and/or wayfinding as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical-related calls for assistance, and/or disruptive behavior, escalating to onsite leadership and/or emergency services when required.
Complete timely reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
