As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and track entries using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with teams on site, and help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Requirements

• MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow to designated docks, yards, and parking areas.
• Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access control systems; document unusual activity; and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting with emergency response activities, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and to identify security-related hazards or maintenance issues.
