As a Front Desk Security Officer at an education location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control, visitor check-in, and security-related incident reporting. You will monitor cameras and alarms, answer questions with professional customer service, and communicate clearly with site leadership and responding partners. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have security experience of 5+ years.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as needed in an educational location.
  • Manage access control by greeting, screening, and directing visitors, students, staff, and vendors; issue temporary credentials per site policy and maintain visitor logs.
  • Monitor front desk activity and available systems such as cameras, alarms, and intercoms; report irregular activity and maintenance concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate promptly with site leadership and public responders when appropriate.
  • Complete shift documentation, incident reports, and other required records; support routine administrative tasks related to security-related operations at the reception area.
