Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • This post is at a hospital site with vaccines.
  • This post is at a hospital site with a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • The ability to restrain individuals is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated entrances by monitoring visitor flow, checking identification and/or authorization as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions to support continuity of security-related operations.
