As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location, you will greet associates and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and help maintain organized traffic flow. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document and communicate concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, vendors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out logs, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments by coordinating with receiving staff, verifying delivery information, and helping to deter unauthorized access to docks, back-of-house areas, and restricted spaces.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter, observing for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, and policy violations, and reporting maintenance and security-related concerns.
