Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, including access control and identification verification at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas as permitted, staging areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and communications equipment, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Support site operations by checking deliveries and/or contractor activity against posted requirements, directing traffic and visitor flow, and completing accurate reports and logs.
