As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with clear communication and customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and document unusual activity, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards and report observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, completing required documentation such as incident reports and patrol logs.
• Support access control by observing customer and employee traffic, checking doors and gates for proper closure, and/or assisting with after-hours lockup and opening procedures as directed by site requirements.
