As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas and exterior perimeters, including parking areas and entrances, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor doors, corridors, and restricted areas, assisting with visitor direction, after-hours access requests, and adherence to posted facility rules while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine reporting and documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
