As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, corridors, loading dock areas, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and notify property management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Control access as assigned by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and monitoring entry points to help to reduce unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, use required communication systems, and participate in shift turnovers to support consistent security-related operations.
