As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to reduce incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support access control, communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following site-specific procedures and performing security-related duties within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help identify unusual behavior, support visitor management, and assist with wayfinding and de-escalation when appropriate.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and service calls in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to supervisors and site personnel.
