As a Front Desk Officer at a residential location, you will greet residents and guests, manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor cameras and alarms to help identify security-related concerns. You will document activity, communicate clearly with residents, staff, and responders, and provide a calm, service-focused presence. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or applicable state security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor and control entry by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor and delivery logs.
  • Answer incoming calls, route requests to the appropriate contacts, and communicate security-related information to on-site staff and/or property management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or notifying designated personnel as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, reporting suspicious activity and documenting events in written and/or electronic reports to help to deter unwanted activity.
