As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and document activity with clear communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Operate access control at gates and/or building entrances by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in points.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry for authorized access, including coordinating with site contacts for deliveries, service calls, and contractor access within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify unusual conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
