As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, document observations, and use onsite systems to report concerns. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials per site policy, and help direct patients, visitors and vendors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal management and site contacts, and support investigations as needed.
