About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering customer-focused service with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
  • Manage access control at entrances and controlled areas by verifying identification, issuing badges and/or temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and delivery logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and/or system issues per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, corridors, office areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations, and complete required reports.
