As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control points, assist staff, students, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations and/or concerns. Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, unauthorized persons, and/or security-related hazards; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, and/or facility issues per post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations; communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal management as required.
