As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol financial and commercial locations, complete routine rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and respond to situations with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will use teamwork and integrity to support a caring culture that puts people first, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative throughout your shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site management and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with badging, key control, and/or directing deliveries per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, observations, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to on-site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
