As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entry points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and coordinating with local public service responders as needed.
• Complete shift documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and patrol records using site procedures and/or approved reporting systems.
