As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor camera and alarm activity, and document security-related incidents with clear communication. You will maintain a professional, visible presence that helps to deter unauthorized access while delivering customer service to drivers, associates, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors and/or vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Control access at entry points for a logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, processing visitor check-in, issuing badges and/or passes, and maintaining access logs.
  • Screen and direct inbound and outbound truck traffic by confirming appointments, checking shipping documentation when required, and coordinating with site contacts to route vehicles to the proper docks and/or staging areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms and other systems, report irregular activity, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, trailer yards, dock areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to document observations per post orders.
