As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity using computers and/or tablets. You will conduct routine patrols and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing clear communication and strong customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors. Requirements

• MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials, issuing and collecting badges as directed, and maintaining visitor and contractor sign-in and sign-out logs.
• Monitor entry and exit points including doors, gates, and shipping and receiving areas, reporting irregularities and documenting security-related activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required and completing detailed incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
