As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe for unusual activity, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication to associates and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including dock doors, truck yards, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and contractor sign-in and/or badge procedures, and directing traffic flow as required by site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, injuries, and property damage; notify site contacts and/or public responders when required.
- Complete timely security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
