As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will support security-related screening operations by checking badges, managing access points, and using X ray equipment to help identify prohibited items. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and provide strong customer service and clear communication while using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen associates, visitors, and/or vendors entering controlled areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing individuals through required screening processes.
• Inspect inbound and outbound items, parcels, and/or vehicles as assigned, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and/or policy violations per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including monitoring access points and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns.
