Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, monitoring assigned areas and conducting routine rounds while staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, document observations, and deliver strong customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements, supported by an agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility location grounds, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, checking identification and/or credentials when required, and directing individuals according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from supervision and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate pertinent updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
