As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication and quick response. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor customer and associate activity for potential theft-related behaviors, policy violations, and other concerning situations, and report observations per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with management and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Complete required reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
