As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a strong customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, and perimeter, noting unusual activity or potential hazards and reporting findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries and service providers to approved locations.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, monitor alarms and/or CCTV when assigned, and communicate observations that help to deter policy violations and unauthorized access.
