As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to campus partners and/or law enforcement as required.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, and surrounding grounds, checking doors, gates, and common areas for unusual activity.
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in, and directing guests to appropriate campus locations.
Document incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
