As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A comfort level using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
  • Control access by verifying credentials, managing visitor processing and deliveries, and directing individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and irregularities, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
