As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet team members and visitors, communicate clearly by radio and/or phone, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, trailer yards, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and truck traffic flow by verifying identification and/or shipping documentation as required by post orders, and directing drivers and visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical situations, and property damage, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, gate activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
