As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe and report unusual activity, assist staff and visitors with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation, assistance with access concerns, and timely notification to site leadership and/or public responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances and key areas for unusual activity, report suspicious behavior and/or hazardous conditions, and follow site protocols for escalation.
Control access in accordance with post orders by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in procedures, and directing guests to appropriate service areas.
Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
Operate site communication tools such as phones, radios, and/or monitoring systems as directed by post orders.
Assist with crowd management, line control, and/or facility closures as needed to support orderly operations at a public-facing government location.
Provide assistance to employees and members of the public with directions, general information, and coordination of services while maintaining professional boundaries.
