As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, support access control and badge procedures, and communicate clearly with the site team. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial property areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions including unlocked doors, blocked exits, lighting issues, suspicious behavior, and other concerns; communicate observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and building alarms as directed by post orders.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation; use radios, phones, and/or security-related systems to coordinate with onsite staff and local responders when needed.
