As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to support patrol coverage, access control, and professional communication with site personnel. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of process areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at gates and designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in, and directing traffic to approved areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other location systems, report irregular conditions, and complete shift logs and incident reports per Allied Universal guidelines.
