As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with calm, helpful customer service. You will observe and report unusual activity, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons and store staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying store management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas for suspicious behavior, possible shoplifting indicators, and policy violations, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and support loss prevention efforts through consistent presence and professional interaction.
