Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and associates with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. You will deliver through teamwork, communicate clearly, and act with integrity while helping maintain a secure, welcoming shopping experience.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor alarms, cameras and access points when assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete reports and log entries for incidents, patrol observations and customer interactions, and assist with loss prevention and other site-directed security-related tasks.
