As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and respond to requests with a customer service mindset. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access to the location by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization, directing visitor check-in, and/or coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating updates to appropriate contacts and requesting additional assistance when needed.
- Complete routine reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes per location requirements.
