As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover the property and respond to calls for service. You will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and professionalism with integrity through teamwork.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site staff, students, parents, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and check identification and/or visitor authorization per site procedures; direct visitors to appropriate check-in locations and assist with wayfinding as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public responders when required by post orders.
- Document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
