Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an education location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer-focused service while supporting a caring, people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance, documenting details, and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with visitor check-in, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Complete routine reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and support security-related operations as conditions and assignments vary by location.
