About The Position

As an Allied Universal Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related screening at entry points, greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, manage access control and badges, and document activity. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and partner with site teams to help reduce unwanted incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss Prevention experience preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or drivers entering the facility using approved methods such as credential verification, visitor processing, and inspection of items as directed by site policy.
  • Monitor access points, doors, and screening areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining clear communication with site personnel and following escalation protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas such as entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter when directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
