As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service, and document observations. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or applicable security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized entry attempts, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with medical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate notable activity during shift transitions per Allied Universal guidelines.
