As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage distribution location, you will focus on access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and logging arrivals and departures. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing deliveries and contractors to the proper location within the food and beverage facility.
- Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer traffic, including driver check-in and check-out, seal checks when required by site policy, and maintaining accurate access logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and completing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
