As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document activities, and deliver outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with guests and staff. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical situations and/or property damage at a retail or mall location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking lots and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and interior areas for unusual activity, assist with crowd flow during peak shopping periods, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages and/or hazards to site contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents and service calls in written and/or electronic reports and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management as needed.
