As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and building teams, provide clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, verify credentials as required, and direct visitors and contractors according to site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, and maintenance-related concerns, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover to support continuous site operations.
