In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control points, respond to reports of unusual activity, and complete clear, timely documentation. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse, yard, loading dock, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access control points and support shipping and receiving operations by verifying credentials, checking vehicles and/or trailers as required by site policy, and directing traffic flow.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations that may help to deter theft, damage, and/or unauthorized access.
