As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist tenants and visitors with courteous customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, using computer or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

• Have security experience of 2+ years.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions such as propped doors, unauthorized persons, and/or suspicious behavior, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate with Allied Universal supervision and/or property management, and support site operations as needed.
