As a Front Desk Security Officer at a fast-paced industrial location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, monitor alarms and cameras, and support incident reporting and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will represent Allied Universal with a caring, people-first approach while staying agile, reliable, and innovative through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and security-related policies for a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Greet, screen, and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors; verify identification and authorization; issue temporary badges and/or visitor passes when required.
  • Monitor entry points and front lobby activity using available tools such as cameras, intercoms, and/or access control systems, and report unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, delivery records, and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant updates during post handoff.
