As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents using computer-based tools. Requirements

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have CPR certification preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet visitors and associates, manage sign-in and sign-out processes, issue visitor credentials when required, and direct individuals to the appropriate location within the retail site.
  • Monitor access to the facility from the front desk, verify identification and/or authorization as needed, and report unauthorized access attempts according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of visitor activity, deliveries, alarms, and incident details, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
