About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Post in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage access control and guest registration, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be the visible first point of contact, helping to reduce incidents through strong customer service and attention to detail. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a commercial real estate location.
  • Staff the front desk to help manage access by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and building systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site emergency response activities and contacting local responders when directed.
  • Complete daily reports and shift documentation, communicate key information during post handoff, and support administrative tasks such as key control and package or delivery coordination as assigned.
