Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Seaford, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location in a Front Desk post where you welcome visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and support a professional lobby experience. You will monitor activity through cameras and reports, communicate with staff and the public, respond to requests, and help to deter security-related incidents through a consistent, visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location front desk by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies, including answering phones and directing visitors.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and coordinating with authorized personnel for appointments and entry approval.
  • Monitor security-related systems and front lobby activity, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional, visible presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and contacting appropriate internal staff and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports and documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
