As a Front Desk Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access requests and credentials, answer phones, and monitor security-related systems to help identify and report unusual activity. You will be a calm, professional presence who supports a welcoming environment through clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the appropriate contact.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems from the reception area, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, including incident reports, access activity, and communications, and support routine administrative tasks such as answering phones and receiving deliveries.
