About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Lobby Desk in INDIANAPOLIS, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading financial services location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage check-in and access credentials, and support security-related monitoring from a stationary post. You will serve as a calm, professional first point of contact, communicate clearly with onsite teams, and help to deter disruptions through presence and attention to detail. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a financial services location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Greet employees, visitors, and vendors; manage sign-in processes, issue temporary badges when authorized, and direct individuals to the correct destination using approved access protocols.
  • Monitor lobby activity, phones, alarms and/or camera systems as assigned, document unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and coordinating initial response per post orders.
  • Complete required reports, visitor logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming staff and/or site contacts.
