About The Position

As a Security Officer - Fulfillment Center in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to requests, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, work areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders, and completing required reports.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, equipment issues, and/or policy violations, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
